HOA Dues
 
HOA Yearly Assessments of $238.00 are due Friday, January 31, 2014. Please drop off payment to the HOA Office at 4000 Eagle Point Corporate Drive. Payments received after 5:00 PM on January 31, 2014 will have a late fee of $50.00. Any outstanding balances will start accruing interest of 1.5% per month starting February 1, 2014. Make your check payable to Eagle Point HOA.

Ice Storm 2014!
 
The ice storm of 2014 caught everyone by surprise. The residents of Eagle Point deserve a huge thank you for shoveling and sanding the hill for cars to travel. Also, thank you to the residents who provided rides on four-wheelers for those who were stranded! Your generosity will never be forgotten.

Vandalism 
 
As you have probably noticed, several signs and a utility box in Eagle Point were vandalized with spray paint graffiti on January 28, 2014.  Similar graffiti markings were drawn on both public and private property.  These are similar markings which were painted in Eagle Point in April 2013.  We encourage anyone with knowledge of this criminal behavior to contact the Shelby County Sheriff's Office at 205.669.4181.  The HOA will be working to repair the costly damage, which requires using funds which were budgeted for other items in Eagle Point.  Please let us know as well if you have any helpful information about the graffiti, by emailing us at [email protected].

The HOA is seeking an electrician to work on minor tasks such as repairing landscape lighting and irrigation controls. We would appreciate any referrals from homeowners. Electricians must be licensed and insured. Please send recommendations to [email protected].

Winter Storm
  
The EPHOA Board would like to thank all of the volunteers, 4 wheelers, winches, shovelers and all of those that provided elbow grease to help everyone to get home safely after the recent snow storm. Your efforts were greatly appreciated.
  
  
Safety and Security
  
Many of you may have received the following Eagle Point RSAS alert on January 31 at 7:10 PM: "EPHOA Alert: Burglary In Progress-Res at Eagle Crest Rd, Birmingham And Eagle Crest Dr at 7:09 PM".  Below is a letter from the affected Eagle Point homeowner:
  
"Just to let you know, I was the most recent victim of home burglary.  My home at .... Eagle Crest Rd was invaded last Friday 1/31/14 around 7pm. They had access inside thru a window in a basement.  My 17 yr old daughter was at home by herself.  Thanks to our two dogs who alerted her something was wrong.  She heard someone broken in the house because she heard them throwing drawers on the floor.  I'm glad nothing major happened. My daughter had time to locked her room's door and call 911.  Sheriff deputy came and pictures were taken of the damages.  No one saw anything suspicious around on the street the night of the incident.  Please pass this message to the Eagle Point residents.  Thanks. Ali ......."

Safety and Security
  
The EPHOA developed the Realtime Security Alert System (RSAS) to quickly communicate potential safety and security-related issues to the residents of Eagle Point. The RSAS enables users to receive SMS text messages or emails related to street names in Eagle Point subdivision, as such notices are published on the website of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Log (http://shelbyso.com/ or http://dispatchlog.shelbyal.com). The RSAS continuously monitors the ShelbySO Dispatch Log for activity involving street names in Eagle Point subdivision, and automatically sends Alerts via SMS text message to the EPHOA Safety & Security Monitors. The Monitors will immediately assess the content of the Alert and use judgment and established priority guidelines to determine whether to broadcast the Alert to the entire Network. Eagle Point residents may log in at the homepage (http://www.ephoa.org/) and click on the link at the top labeled "ALERTS RSAS" to review terms of use and subscribe to the RSAS.
